Softball Recap: Autauga Academy Finds Home Field Redemption Against Pike County

There's no place like home for Autauga Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Pike County Bulldogs 7-5.

Teonna Davis was incredible, scoring a run and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in March of 2024. MacKenzie Burgin also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.

Autauga Academy's record is now 3-4. As for Pike County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-6.

Coming up, Autauga Academy will take on Carver Montgomery at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Pike County, they will square off against Dale County at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
