Preview: Indian Trail Hawks vs. Kenosha Tremper Trojans
Indian Trail has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will square off against the Kenosha Tremper Trojans at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Even though Racine Park scored an imposing 64 points on Tuesday, Indian Trail still came out on top. Indian Trail managed a 68-64 victory over Racine Park. The win was all the more spectacular given Indian Trail's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 213th, while Racine Park is ranked 94th).
Mj Stackhouse continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, shooting 4-for-7 from long range and dropping a double-double on 38 points and 17 rebounds. Stackhouse is absolutely dominating the point category: he's posted at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Silas Bolton, who scored ten points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Kenosha Tremper had to endure a nine-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They snuck past Racine Horlick with a 64-58 win on Tuesday. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Indian Trail now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Kenosha Tremper, their win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-12.
Indian Trail beat Kenosha Tremper 71-60 in their previous meeting back in December of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Indian Trail since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
