Volleyball Recap: Lipan Takes a Loss

Lipan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Jonesboro Eagles. The Indians were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Lipan was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-15, 25-21.

Jonesboro can attribute much of their success to Lynlee Deats, who had 19 digs.

Lipan's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Jonesboro, their victory was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-2.

Looking ahead, Lipan will be taking part in a tournament against Collinsville at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday. After both having extra time off, Jonesboro and Millsap will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
