Volleyball Recap: Lyons Extends Winning Streak to Eight

Lyons entered their tilt with Sodus on Friday with seven consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with eight. They put the hurt on the Spartans with a sharp 3-0 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

The final score came out to 25-4, 25-16, 25-4.

Keira Weber paced Lyons' offense, picking up 11 kills. Weber got some help from Kamryn Bonnell and her 16 assists. Bonnell was also solid from the service line: she led the team with eight aces.

Lyons' win bumped their record up to 11-3-2. As for Sodus, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-7.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Lyons is set to square off against their familiar foe Gananda Central at 6:15 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Sodus will face off against rival Marion at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
