Baseball Recap: Fremont Snaps Seven-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Fremont dropped their record down to 15-5 on Saturday, which also ended the team's seven-game streak of wins at home. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Homestead Mustangs. The contest marked the first time this season in which the Firebirds were not able to get on the board.

As for Homestead, with the victory, they broke their six-game losing streak and moved their record to 10-12. The game was the first time they have beaten Fremont on their field since April 30, 2016.

For Homestead's part, their win was truly a team effort as seven different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Jayden Duong, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run. William Hsu was another, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fremont will host Santa Clara at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bruins will roll in looking for their 13th straight victory, something the Firebirds surely won't give up without a fight. As for Homestead, they will be playing at home against Palo Alto at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
