Volleyball Game Preview: Deerfield Beach Bucks vs. Western Wildcats

Deerfield Beach hasn't had much luck against Western recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Deerfield Beach Bucks will face off against the Western Wildcats at 4:30 p.m.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Deerfield Beach and Coral Springs meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Monday. Deerfield Beach fell 3-1 to Coral Springs.

Deerfield Beach started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-21, 25-17, 25-17.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Western, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They blew past Fort Lauderdale 3-0 on Thursday. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Flying L's recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Western not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Fort Lauderdale between 14 and 16 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-14, 25-16.

Deerfield Beach's loss dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Western, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 4-2.
