Basketball Recap: Highlands Blazers vs. Lakehill Prep Warriors
Highlands was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They came up short against the Lakehill Prep Warriors, falling 67-46. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Blazers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 75-35 on January 7th.
Drew Perry continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Lakehill Prep, going 8 of 18 en route to 22 points. Perry's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Preston Corder was another key player, going 5 for 11 on his way to 11 points and five rebounds.
Highlands' defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Lakehill Prep, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 18-6.
Highlands will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Yavneh Academy at 8:00 p.m. on February 10th. As for Lakehill Prep, they will challenge Dallas International at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lakehill Prep has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 203 points over their last three matchups.
