Basketball Recap: Caldwell Comes Up Short

Caldwell was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 30-18 to the Argonia Raiders. If the Bluejays were looking for revenge after losing 40-31 to them when the teams met back in February of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Ella Risley was Caldwell's leading scorer, having posted nine points. Ava Newell took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with two assists.

Caldwell's defeat dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Argonia, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5-1 record this season.

Caldwell has already played their next game, a 52-25 loss against Flinthills on the 14th. As for Argonia, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 43-31 defeat against Cedar Vale/Dexter on the 14th.
