George Washington came tearing into Wednesday's match with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23.8 points) and they left with even more momentum. They claimed a resounding 60-24 victory over the Montbello Warriors. The Patriots have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 21 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead George Washington to victory, but perhaps none more so than Madisyn Honeycutt, who almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine boards. Abryanna Alejo Grajeda was another key player, going 7 for 11 en route to 14 points and eight rebounds.

George Washington was working as a unit and finished the game with 22 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Montbello's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Yaretzi Barraza, who posted eight points, and Clarissa Valles, who had two points.

George Washington has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season. As for Montbello, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-11.
