Basketball Recap: Cherokee Takes a Loss

Cherokee lost against West Greene back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Cherokee Chiefs took a 58-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of the West Greene Buffaloes.

Cherokee's loss dropped their record down to 9-14. As for West Greene, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cherokee and Greeneville will face off at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest having both just played. One thing working in Greeneville's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last ten matchups. As for West Greene, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Chuckey-Doak at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Chuckey-Doak has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
