            Softball Recap: Pendleton Bulldogs vs. West-Oak Warriors        
        
		
        
        
            Pendleton extended their losing streak  to five  on Thursday, dropping their season record down to 3-8 in the process. They came up short against  the West-Oak Warriors, falling  12-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  10-0  back in March.
As for West-Oak, their win was  their third straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 8-3. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by six  runs or more this season.
For West-Oak's part,  Abi Blackwell made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound,   tossing seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off   five  hits. Blackwell was also solid in the batter's box,  going 2-for-5 with one  home run.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Abigail Satterfield, who  fired off two  home runs, four  RBI,  and one  double while  getting on base  in all five of her plate appearances.  Cassie Stoltzfus was another key player,  going 3-for-5 with three  runs.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pendleton will venture away from home to  take on T.L. Hanna  at 6:00  p.m.  on Monday. The Bulldogs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Yellow Jackets have averaged an impressive 8.3  runs per game this season. As for West-Oak, they will square off against Crescent at 6:00  p.m.  on Monday.
