Softball Recap: South Central Extends Home Winning Streak to Four

South Central not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since May 2, 2024. Everything went their way against the Havelock Rams as the South Central Falcons made off with a 16-5 win. The Falcons have beaten the Rams the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Rams has come to flipping the script.

South Central let Haven Roebuck and Kamdyn Haislip run wild. Roebuck went 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs, while Haislip scored three runs while going 4-for-4. What's more, Haislip posted two doubles, the most she's had since back in March of 2024. Blaire Adee also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

South Central always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .606. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

South Central pushed their record up to 4-0 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games. As for Havelock, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Coming up, South Central will hit the road for the first time this season to take on Wakefield at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Wakefield's pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so South Central's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Havelock, they will square off against Swansboro at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
