Softball Recap: East Webster Falls Short Against Ranked Itawamba Agricultural

On Friday, East Webster faced Itawamba Agricultural in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The East Webster Wolverines lost 7-0 to the Itawamba Agricultural Indians.

East Webster's defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.6 runs on average over those games. As for Itawamba Agricultural, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 11-0.

East Webster has already played their next game, an 8-2 win against Pontotoc on the 7th. As for Itawamba Agricultural, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 10-0 victory against Ethel on the 7th.
