Baseball Recap: Webster Comes Up Short

Friday just wasn't the day for Webster's offense. They came up short against the Amery Warriors on Friday, falling 13-0. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2025.

This is the second loss in a row for Webster and nudges their season record down to 5-3. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 7-3-1 Grantsburg (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 57.6% over those games). As for Amery, their record is now 8-9.

Webster has already played their next game, a 6-2 loss against Shell Lake on the 11th. As for Amery, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 3-2 win against Grantsburg on the 11th.
