Recap: Loomis Wolves vs. Franklin Flyers
A well-balanced attack led the Loomis Wolves over the Franklin Flyers in every quarter on their way to victory on Tuesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Loomis blew Franklin out of the water with a 69-36 final score. That looming 69-36 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Loomis yet this season.
Cale Nelson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 23 points along with eight rebounds. He is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. Another player making a difference was Tyson Essex, who scored 12 points along with three steals.
Despite the loss, Franklin saw an underclassman step up: Eldon Haack dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Levi Meade, who scored eight points along with three steals.
Franklin struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. They are winless (0-3) when they can't control their own glass like that.
Loomis is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season. As for Franklin, they dropped their record down to 1-12 with that loss, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season.
Loomis will take on Ansley/Litchfield at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Franklin, they will head out on the road to take on Blue Hill at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Blue Hill is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.
