Basketball Recap: Texhoma Makes It Four in a Row at Home

After losing to Balko/Forgan the last time they met, Texhoma decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Texhoma Red Devils came out on top in a nail-biter against Balko/Forgan on Tuesday, sneaking past 42-39. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Red Devils.

Balko/Forgan's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brya Appelhans, who almost dropped a double-double with 13 points and nine boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Kamryn Ott, who posted 11 points in addition to five assists and five rebounds.

Texhoma pushed their record up to 11-9 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.8 points over those games. As for Balko/Forgan, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 14-6 record this season.

Texhoma wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 66-33 victory against Tyrone on the 7th. As for Balko/Forgan, they have also already played their next game, a 43-38 win against Moscow on the 6th.
