Baseball Recap: Keystone Oaks Starts off Right with Win over Brentwood

Keystone Oaks had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They were the clear victor by a 14-1 margin over the Brentwood Spartans on Tuesday. The Golden Eagles have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Spartans, too.

Keystone Oaks let Shane Falcone and Roman Keaney run wild. Falcone went 3-for-4 with one home run, six RBI, and two runs, while Keaney went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Bryce Altenbaugh was another key player, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4.

Brentwood is on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Keystone Oaks will head out to square off against Winchester Thurston at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Brentwood, they are taking a road trip to challenge Springdale at 3:45 p.m. on Monday.
