Volleyball Recap: Southmont Gets the Win

Southmont saw some tournament action on Saturday. They came out on top against the University Trailblazers by a score of 2-0.

Ella Barry paced Southmont's offense, picking up seven kills. Barry got some help from Haylee Hall and her 11 assists. Kendall Priebe and Layla Shaw kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Southmont's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for University, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Southmont has already played their next contest (against North Putnam), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for University, they will host Clinton Central at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
