With a playoff win on the line, Yutan rose to the challenge on Thursday. They skirted past the Johnson County Central Thunderbirds 3-2. The victory continues a trend for the Chieftains in their matchups with the Thunderbirds: they've now won six in a row.

Yutan had a senior duo take command as Allison Kirchmann had 17 digs and two assists and Kenzie Govier had 14 digs and two assists.

Yutan's win bumped their record up to 22-7. As for Johnson County Central, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 31-1.

Yutan has already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Freeman on the 7th. Johnson County Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
