Basketball Recap: Niagara Falls Comes Up Short

Niagara Falls lost to East back in February of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Wolverines had to suffer through an 84-54 loss at the hands of the Eagles. While losing is never fun, the Wolverines can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 254th, while the Eagles are ranked 118th).

Niagara Falls has also been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.3 points over those games. As for East, their victory bumped their record up to 11-5.

Coming up, Niagara Falls will face off against Sweet Home at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. As for East, they will host School of the Arts at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
