Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Scotland walked away with it. They never let the South Central Falcons get on the board and left with a 3-0 victory on Friday. Winning may never get old, but the Fighting Scots sure are getting used to it with their 26th in a row.
Avery Stutts was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out ten over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with one double and one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Addison Johnson, who went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases and one run. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in April.
Scotland's record is now 27-1. As for South Central, the defeat snapped their winning streak at 12 games and leaves them with a 20-7 record.
