Baseball Recap: Austin Comes Up Short

Austin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They fell 12-8 to the West Morgan Rebels. If the Black Bears were looking for revenge after losing 8-5 to the Rebels when the teams met back in April of 2022, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Jaxon Potter made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Tyler Parker was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

Austin's defeat dropped their record down to 7-16. As for West Morgan, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-10.

Coming up, Austin is taking a road trip to take on Huntsville at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for West Morgan, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Vinemont at 2:00 p.m.
