International players to ink on National Signing Day

International Federation of American Football players are developing at rapid pace.

The World is catching up and catching on. At least when it concerns American football.

That would be the deduction while examining the roster of the World team which takes on the USA under-19 national team in the third International Bowl on National Signing Day in Austin, Texas.

The game will be televised 6 p.m. (EST) on CBS Sports Network Wednesday from the Kelly Reeves Athletic Complex.

At last year's Signing Day breakfast, only two World Team players signed letters of intent. On Wednesday, seven plan to sign.



The World Team, short for the International Federation of American Football squad, has players and coaches from 19 countries and speak 14 languages.

Counting the football team, coaches and IFAF development team (about 140 people), the squad traveled 472,408 miles to get to Austin or about 19 times around the earth.
