Baseball Recap: St. Christopher's Takes a Loss

If St. Christopher was feeling good fresh off their 6-0 takedown of Woodberry Forest on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Saints fell 8-5 to the Central Virginia Homeschool Athletic Association Patriots on Monday. The Saints were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Patriots earlier this season, when they won 2-1.

St. Christopher's has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-9 record this season. As for Central Virginia Homeschool Athletic Association, they pushed their record up to 25-4-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. St. Christopher's will venture away from home to challenge Collegiate at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cougars' pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so the Saints' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Central Virginia Homeschool Athletic Association, they will challenge Atlantic Shores Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
