Jones won the last time they faced Tuloso-Midway and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Trojans won by a set and slipped past the Warriors & Cherokees 2-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Trojans.
It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Jones got the one that really mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 23-25, 25-20.
Jones can attribute much of their success to Julianna Delarosa, who had 13 digs and one assist.
Jones' victory bumped their record up to 11-2. As for Tuloso-Midway, their loss dropped their record down to 7-4.
Coming up, Jones will square off against El Campo at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Tuloso-Midway, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Karnes City on the 19th.
