Basketball Recap: Florida School for the Deaf & Blind Drops Season-High Score on Mississippi School for the Deaf

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Florida School for the Deaf & Blind). Everything went their way against the Mississippi School for the Deaf Bulldogs on Friday as the Florida School for the Deaf & Blind Dragons made off with a 56-32 victory. The win was all the more spectacular given the Dragons' disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 819th in Florida, while the Bulldogs are ranked 315th in Mississippi).

Several Bulldogs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Tyler Thomas, who posted 12 points. Learvious Hill was another key player, putting up nine points.

The victory made it two in a row for Florida School for the Deaf & Blind and bumps their season record up to 4-15. As for Mississippi School for the Deaf, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-21.

Florida School for the Deaf & Blind has already played their next game (against Temple Christian Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Mississippi School for the Deaf wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 49-47 loss against N.C. School for the Deaf on the 1st.
