Baseball Recap: Challis Comes Up Short

The home team had won the previous two meetings between Challis and North Fremont, and North Fremont kept the tradition alive. The Vikings fell just short of the Huskies by a score of 2-1 on Monday. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, the Vikings couldn't push the score so high this time.

Challis saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Roy Jones, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Challis' loss dropped their record down to 13-8-1. As for North Fremont, they pushed their record up to 9-8-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

Challis does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for North Fremont, they will square off against Firth at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Cougars will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something the Huskies surely won't give up without a fight.
