Basketball Recap: Advanced Math & Science Academy Takes a Loss

Advanced Math & Science Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They fell 60-48 to the Worcester Tech Eagles. While losing is never fun, Advanced Math & Science Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts basketball rankings (they are ranked 289th, while Worcester Tech is ranked 119th).

Advanced Math & Science Academy's loss dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Worcester Tech, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 10-6 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Advanced Math & Science Academy will face off against Montachusett RVT at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Worcester Tech, they are taking a road trip to square off against Nipmuc Regional at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Worcester Tech knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven contests -- so hopefully Nipmuc Regional likes a good challenge.
