Baseball Recap: South Sevier Extends Road Winning Streak to Four

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only South Sevier walked away with it. They walked away with a 9-5 win over the San Juan Broncos on Thursday. The Rams haven't had any issues with the Broncos recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Stockton Roberts tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Peyton Ingram was incredible, going 1-for-3 with one home run and five RBI. Another player making a difference was Cannon Barney, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one double.

South Sevier's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 21-6. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for San Juan, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 21-6.

As of now, neither South Sevier nor the Broncos have any future games scheduled.
