Baseball Game Preview: Tucker Tigers vs. Lithonia Bulldogs

Tucker has gone a perfect 5-0 against Lithonia recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. Tucker will head out to face off against Lithonia at 5:00 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with nine consecutive losses for Tucker and ten for Lithonia.

It was a proper cat-fight when Tucker duked it out with Southwest DeKalb on Friday. Tucker fell just short of Southwest DeKalb by a score of 8-7. That's two games in a row now that the Tigers have lost by just one run.

Alec Waller was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Tucker is 3-1 when Waller posts one or more home runs, but 3-17 otherwise.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Lithonia's offense. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 15-0 to Northview, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Lithonia's defeat dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Tucker, their loss dropped their record down to 6-18.

Everything went Tucker's way against Lithonia when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Tucker made off with a 15-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Tucker since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
