Football Recap: Beachside Barracudas vs. Orlando Christian Prep Warriors
Beachside gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They put the hurt on the Orlando Christian Prep Warriors with a sharp 42-16 win. Winning may never get old, but the Barracudas sure are getting used to it with their tenth in a row dating back to last season.
Beachside's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Eddie Jordan, who threw for 332 yards and four touchdowns while completing 84.2% of his passes, and also punched in a rushing score. Drew Watson was Jordan's top target, picking up 119 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Although Orlando Christian Prep took the loss, they still got scores from Akeevin Anderson and Thomas Young.
Beachside will square off against Englewood at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Beachside is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road dating back to last season. As for Orlando Christian Prep, they will challenge Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
