Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Eldon). They had just enough and edged the New Bloomfield Wildcats out 66-64. That's more bragging rights for the Mustangs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

When it comes to explaining why New Bloomfield lost on Friday, don't look at Jacob Fuhriman. Despite the final result, he went 9 for 15 on his way to 21 points along with five assists and five rebounds. Trenton Boessen was another key player, going 7 of 11 en route to 14 points and seven boards.

With the victory, Eldon broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-5. As for New Bloomfield, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-6.

Eldon will take on Centralia at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Eldon is on a five-game streak of home losses dating back to last season, Centralia a five-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck will change. As for New Bloomfield, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the New Bloomfield Wildcats challenge the Prairie Home Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
