Basketball Recap: California Takes a Loss

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, California couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They came up short against the Inderkum Tigers on Tuesday, falling 69-43. While losing is never fun, the Grizzlies can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 73rd, while the Tigers are ranked 14th).

Inderkum found their leader in sophomore Siincere Hudson, who posted 20 points. Hudson's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaeden Claxton, who had ten points.

California is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 23-8. As for Inderkum, their win bumped their record up to 29-2.

California does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Inderkum, they will welcome Oakland Tech at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Oakland Tech will roll in looking for their 11th straight victory, something Inderkum surely won't give up without a fight.
