Volleyball Recap: Oxford Triumphs + How To Watch

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Seymour, Oxford was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They came out on top against the Torrington Raiders by a score of 3-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-1 back in September.

The match came down to the wire multiple times:three sets needed extra rallies to declare a winner. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-27, 26-24, 26-24.

Hailee Fredericks paced Oxford's offense, picking up ten kills. Fredericks got some help from Tessa Hatch and her 27 assists. Hatch was also solid from the service line: she led the team with seven aces.

Oxford now has a winning record of 10-9. As for Torrington, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 12 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season.

Coincidentally, Oxford and Torrington will both be playing Watertown the next time they take the court. The Wolverines will head out to face the Warriors at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Raiders will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
