Hardin put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They were the clear victor by an 11-3 margin over the Jasper Bulldogs. While the Hornets didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-13), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Jayden Phelps made a big impact no matter where he played. He struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits (and only one walk). Phelps was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 1-for-4. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (two).
