Winning always takes teamwork, but on Friday Brayden Sievertsen stepped things up a notch to give Sandy the 'W'. Sievertsen turned in his biggest game of the season, striking out nine batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits (and only one walk). He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

Sievertsen's strong effort led Sandy over Reynolds and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Pioneers are 9-1 against the Raiders going back to April of 2019, a lead they'll look to extend.
