Basketball Recap: DASH Comes Up Short

DASH has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. The contest between the United and the Oak Forest Warriors didn't end well, with the United falling 58-39. While losing is never fun, the United can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 330th, while the Warriors are ranked 124th).

Oak Forest's win on Friday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ryder Zingelmann, who went 7-for-10 en route to 15 points and eight boards. Zingelmann is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 59% in the last seven games he's played. Hampton Dixon was another key player, putting up 17 points.

DASH's loss dropped their record down to 17-9. As for Oak Forest, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-3 record this season.

DASH does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Oak Forest, they have already played their next game, a 60-48 victory against Durham Flight HomeSchool on the 14th.
