Basketball Recap: Highland Starts Season with Victory on the Road

Highland had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They walked away with a 56-43 victory over the Westville Blackhawks on Monday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Trojans also won the last time the pair played back in November of 2024.

Jake Slaven had a dynamite game, shooting 62% from the field to rack up 21 points and six steals. Those six steals gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Cameron Katz, who posted nine points.
