Football Recap: Stevens Falcons vs. Churchill Chargers
Stevens had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They had to suffer through a 42-7 loss at the hands of the Churchill Chargers. The Falcons just can't catch a break and have now endured seven defeats in a row dating back to last season.
Despite the loss, Stevens still got an impressive performance from Isaiah Farris, who rushed for 130 yards and a touchdown while picking up 8.1 yards per carry. The dominant performance gave him a new career- in rushing yards.
Kalobe Rond was nothing short of spectacular for Churchill: he rushed for 109 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries. Miles Pace was in the mix as well, providing Churchill with two touchdowns.
Stevens will host Clark at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Clark focused on turnovers this week as team gave up six on Friday. As for Churchill, they will face off against Alamo Heights at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
