Volleyball Recap: El Modena Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Irvine, El Modena was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Magnolia Sentinels. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Vanguards also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2025.

El Modena had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 17-25, 25-20, 25-23, 26-24.

The victory got El Modena back to even at 1-1. As for Magnolia, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. El Modena will welcome Troy at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Magnolia, they will challenge Western at 4:45 p.m. on Friday.
