Recap: Blackford Bruins vs. Mississinewa Indians
The Mississinewa Indians typically have all the answers at home, but on Friday the Blackford Bruins proved too difficult a challenge. They snuck past the Indians with a 39-33 victory. That's another feather in the cap for Blackford, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
It was another big night for Sydnee Morris, who scored 12 points along with nine rebounds and four steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 15 games she's played. Faith Gephart was another key contributor, scoring five points along with two steals.
Blackford has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which lines up perfectly with their 15-5 record this season. As for Mississinewa, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-8.
Blackford will take on Anderson Prep Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mississinewa, they will head out on the road to challenge Alexandria-Monroe at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Alexandria-Monroe focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 last Saturday.
