Softball Recap: Bell Extends Winning Streak to Four

Bell strolled into their game on Tuesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured an 8-7 W against the Coolidge Colts. That's more bragging rights for the Griffins, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Aubrey Gonzalez was incredible, getting on base in two of her four plate appearances with four stolen bases and two runs. Chelsea Cifuentes also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.

Bell's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Coolidge, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Bell will challenge Jackson-Reed at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Coolidge, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Eastern at 7:00 p.m. on the 23rd.
