After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Dighton, the Western Plains Bobcats were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They strolled past Triplains/Brewster with points to spare, taking the game 55-37. Triplains/Brewster's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kenlee Mackley, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 12 rebounds. Lacey Bergsten was another key contributor, scoring seven points.
Western Plains' victory ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-14. As for Triplains/Brewster, they have not been sharp recently as the team has lost eight of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-14 record this season.
