Recap: Western Plains Bobcats vs. Triplains/Brewster Titans

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Dighton, the Western Plains Bobcats were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They strolled past Triplains/Brewster with points to spare, taking the game 55-37. For Western Plains, this counts as revenge for the 51-23 loss Triplains/Brewster walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2016.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Western Plains to victory, but perhaps none more so than Rebecca Strickler, who scored 18 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Strickler has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaelyn Spangler, who scored seven points along with ten assists and five rebounds.

Triplains/Brewster's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kenlee Mackley, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 12 rebounds. Lacey Bergsten was another key contributor, scoring seven points.

Western Plains' victory ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-14. As for Triplains/Brewster, they have not been sharp recently as the team has lost eight of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-14 record this season.
