Volleyball Recap: D'evelyn Makes It 18 in a Row at Home

D'Evelyn came tearing into Tuesday's game with four straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Denver Waldorf Spartans. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-1 on Friday.

D'Evelyn had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 25-16, 25-18, 25-15.

Isaac Osborne paced D'Evelyn's offense, picking up 11 kills. Osborne got some help from Tarin Cavanaugh and his 34 assists. Cavanaugh was also solid from the service line: he led the team with five aces.

D'Evelyn pushed their record up to 20-3 with the victory, which was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Denver Waldorf, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-4.

Coming up, D'Evelyn will host DSST: Conservatory Green at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Denver Waldorf, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-2 win against Kennedy on the 29th.
