Basketball Recap: Pungo Christian Academy Piles Up the Points Against the Oakwood School

Pungo Christian Academy's game last Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat The Oakwood School Eagles 80-41. The Raiders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matchups by 33 points or more this season.

Despite the defeat, The Oakwood School had strong showings from Braven Blount, who posted 15 points, and James Miller, who put up 15 points. That was a full 36.6% of the Eagles' points, marking the third time in a row Blount has earned more than a third of the team's points.

The win got Pungo Christian Academy back to even at 3-3. As for The Oakwood School, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Looking ahead, Pungo Christian Academy will take on John Paul II Catholic at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for The Oakwood School, they are headed away from home for the first time to challenge Northeast Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
