Volleyball Recap: Plainview-Elgin-Millville Comes Up Short

Plainview-Elgin-Millville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Lewiston-Altura Cardinals, falling 3-0. If the Bulldogs were looking for revenge after losing 3-1 to the Cardinals when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Plainview-Elgin-Millville was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Lewiston-Altura work for it, especially in the second set. The final score came out to 25-19, 29-27, 25-18.

Plainview-Elgin-Millville's offense was headlined by Hadlie Eidenschink and Willow Tlougan, who picked up five kills apiece. They got some help from Laney Gusa and her 13 assists. Ava Buroughs controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Plainview-Elgin-Millville's loss dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Lewiston-Altura, the victory got them back to even at 6-6.

Plainview-Elgin-Millville has already played their next contest (against Medford), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Lewiston-Altura, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-2 win against Dover-Eyota on the 25th.
