Dixon waltzed into their game on Wednesday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They enjoyed a cozy 56-40 win over the LaSalle-Peru Cavaliers. Given the Dukes & Duchesses' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 133rd, while the Cavaliers are ranked 290th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Dixon is also on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 18-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.9 points per game. As for LaSalle-Peru, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last ten contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-13 record this season.
