Baseball Recap: Eastern Takes a Loss

The Eastern Eagles didn't have quite enough to beat the Valley Indians on Saturday and fell 4-3.

Rohwan Gilmore was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs and one double. Another player making a difference was Alex Collins, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one double.

Eastern has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 17-5 record this season. As for Valley, they pushed their record up to 13-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Coming up, Eastern will take on Warren at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Valley, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Minford at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Indians are facing the Falcons at the right time seeing as the Falcons are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
