Alleghany strolled into their game on Thursday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They came out on top against the Buffalo Gap Bison by a score of 7-4. The seven-run effort marked the Mountaineers' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Alleghany's record now sits at 7-0. As for Buffalo Gap, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season.

Coincidentally, Alleghany and Buffalo Gap will both be playing Staunton the next time they take the field. The Mountaineers will host the Storm at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Bison will head out to face them at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
