Softball Recap: Edison Makes It 11 in a Row on the Road

Edison strolled into their game on Thursday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They never let the Lansing Bobcats get on the board and left with a 16-0 victory. The Spartans have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bobcats, too.

The team relied heavily on Aurora Parlo, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. Parlo is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season. Another player making a difference was Emily Aiello, who went 2-for-3 with three runs and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Edison kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits every time they've taken the field this season.

Edison's win was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-0. As for Lansing, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-3.

Edison didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 12-0 victory against Whitney Point on the 21st. As for Lansing, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 10-9 win against Notre Dame on the 21st.
